Marina Field

We loved the location of this pleasant riverside CL, although there was background noise from roads and rail there were more than enough distractions. There is an abundance of wildlife alongside the river and adjacent meadow. Don't miss the track to Godmanchester where you can see Port Holme meadow, England's largest natural meadow, sadly we just missed seeing it before it was mown. The CL is in a small corner of a well kept spacious leafy field with moorings a little further on, a secure spot, you need to pay and pre-book and follow the arrival instructions. Facilities can be used on the small adjoining site. Fishing is available, a good Mill pub just a stroll away on the banks of the Great Ouse and for me some Samuel Pepys history to follow. Hinchingbrooke Park is just over the road, an excellent park for all, lots of nice walks, I liked viewing the bee hives over there. The village can be reached on foot via some not very well sign posted footpaths or a short car journey, good Co-op and café etc and the C16th Black Bull pub next to the church, look out for the Pepys house in the field next door.

Stunning location on the riverside, although you can hear the trains and A14, it still does not distracts from the location. Excellent.

Peaceful Site

We were en-route for the North West from our home in Rural East Suffolk and did an overnight stop here both on the way out and on the way back. This is a lovely, peaceful, riverside site with 5 pitches in a large field. Our motorhome is not the smallest but there was absolutely no problem with access. Would we stay again...emphatically yes. In fact this is going to be a regular stop over for us on our journeying and if we were considering visiting the area for a few days this would be the natural choice.

Accessible, friendly and lovely site by river.

We stayed here years ago and recently returned to CC. We had a lovely return welcome from June and a great stay. Idyllic location: handy for pub and river. Short walk/cycle to local garden centre for fab breakfast or, in other direction, into Huntingdon town centre. Wardens work hard to make this a welcoming and lovely site. We live nearby but so quick and easy to get away from it all here.

Directions : Please Note: Brampton Mill situated on A1 and A14 (formerly A604). Follow B1514 through Brampton towards Huntingdon, take right turn signposted Bromholme Lane. Site on left in 180 meters, see notice for siting.
