A family run certified location site set in the small Lake District hamlet of Newby Bridge.
Simply stunning fellside location that's how many will choose to sum up Valley End. The certified location is in prime Lake District territory: the southern end of Windermere and the National Trust's lakefront Fell Foot park are five minutes drive away, and once there, it's possible to take a dip or hire watersports equipment to properly soak up the lake and fell views.
The site is set in a classic Cumbrian landscape. It's green and rural, dotted with trees and with views over faraway hills and neighbouring farms with neighbouring sheep and wildlife. For your daily walkies (dogs being optional - as it's a dog-friendly site, too), make your way to the Cumbrian Coastal Way (10 minutes drive) or the trails of Grizedale Forest (25 minutes).
A perfect setting for exploring and long walks. For dinner out, head down to the village to eat at one of its several hotels, which welcome non-guests. Self-catering is very achievable too, with supermarkets in Ulverston or Milnthorpe, both within 20 minutes’ drive of the site. There is also a local garage with well stocked shop less than a mile away along the A590. The A590 and the M6 are two handy nearby motorway links.

Lovely stay at Valley End
Had a very nice stay here. Gemma was very welcoming and helpful. Lovely location and views Looking forward to returning soon.
Nice last minute stop over
We booked this site at the last minute via communication through email. Great communication and easy to book. Upon arrival we were greeted and instructed re:parking. This is a small site with no toilets or washing up area. We had EHU which is paid as per usage. The area is lovely and not far from Windermere. There is some road noise from the distance busy road but it did not bother us.
Lovely site
We have just returned from our 3 night stay at Valley End and it's a really nice well kept site. Lots of space and open views, the hard standing worked well and the pitch was not far off level. The electric is extra but very reasonable, we paid about £3.50 a day and because it was cold we had the heating on a lot and had showers every night. The location is lovely with easy access to great walks and mountain biking routes. Will definitely return at some stage
Excellent site - recommended
We stopped here on our route home for one night. We were most impressed by the cleanliness and organisation of the site. Unfortunately we didn't get to meet the owner in person to say hello, but were in constant touch with her. It's in a beautiful location - just missing some animals to watch ! We hope to return for a longer stay.
A gem of a site
We have just spent a wonderful 4 nights at Valley End. The site is easily accessed from Jct 36 of the M6 and just off the A590 between Newby Bridge and Cartmel. It is well positioned for the Lake District, Levens Hall, Holker Hall and the Lakeside Windermere ferry terminal. Gemma and Paul are very friendly and helpful. The pitches are all large, on level grass covered matting, and well maintained. There is metered EHU and shared water at each hook up point. The scenery is stunning with views all around. It's a CL we will definitely be returning to.
Lovely site
We spent a week on this popular site. It is quiet and easily accessible with large hard standing pitches. Each pitch has water and EHU - on meter, charged at end of stay. The site is very well kept and ideal for exploring the South Lakes area. Gemma was helpful and friendly. Would recommend and will visit again
