Great Rural Retreat
Well kept site and owner very helpful. Lovely countryside and area. The towns of Bakewell and Buxton are close by. This site is a working dairy farm and great seeing the cows coming in for milking. Good walking area. Certainly would visit again.
Lovely weeks holiday
Lovely well kept site, loads to di in the area, will be back again next year
Had a wonderful New Year break at Flagg Hall, very pleasant location on the front of Flagg house which hid the majority of the farm outbuildings , the views across the village and farmland were wonderful. Being a working farm there was some early morning noise and of course the normal farmyard smells which country folk take in their stride and talking of stride there is plenty of walks from the site and further a field. This is a site that we would enjoy to come back to in the future.
A Wonderful CL
This is a wonderful CL, set in the very well maintained grounds in front of Flagg Hall. The owner Mrs Mycock is, as has been previously mentioned, very friendly and not at all intrusive. Easy approach and access to a very spacious site, offering hard standing and grass pitches with all the required facilities for a CL. Stunning countryside all around. Plenty of local footpaths and quiet country lanes to walk. A lovely quiet site with just the sound of owls and foxes after dark. Loved to see and hear the herd of dairy cows on the farm. We will be returning to this superb site in the future.
Little bolt hole
First time on this site and it won't be the last, read the previous reviews and had intrepidation about the access, COMPLETELY UNFOUNDED. Car and van length is 52ft (twin axle and 4x4) no problems what so ever getting in and out!, very quiet at night, nice listening to the owls, foxes and the occasional cattle....unobtrusive warden, only saw Mrs Mycock when I needed to settle my dues for the stay, thanks
Turn left off the A515 Buxton - Ashbourne past Duke of York Hotel between a bungalow and the wood, turn right at T-junction in village in 1 mile. Site is on the left in 180 metres. Do not enter site via the farm drive.
