Details : Dakota Park caravan site is on the B1192 just outside Coningsby. We are a certified location with "The Caravan club" with friendly and helpful staff. We have electric hook ups which is included of the price of £15.00 a night all year round. Children are welcome, how would it be a holiday without them to entertain you!
We have a pretty site with some stunning sunsets and sunrises.
Just up the road is RAF Coningsby and "The Battle of Britain memorial flight" so we get plenty of action with all types of planes from the old Chipmunks, spitfires, the Dakota and the Lancaster to the upto date Typhoons etc. If it's a peaceful quiet site you want then this is not the place unless you come for a weekend break as the planes fly regularly during the week and very often a display is put on with the pilots training for the big shows. It can get very exciting especially when they are flying right over your head! We have even built a 10 foot high bank so you can get a better view of the planes.
There are a vast amount of country pubs with home cooked food, cafes, Chinese, Italian, Thai and Indian restaurants. You can also have your shopping delivered from Asda, Tesco, Iceland or Morrison’s. Lots of take always that will deliver to Dakota Park. We are also very close to Woodhall Spa, Horncastle, Boston and Lincoln for some exciting shopping trips and site seeing.
We will welcome your dogs as long as they are well behaved and doesn't disturb other members. There are some stunning walks with fantastic scenery. There is also good fishing and golf within a few miles. More information on our Web Site

Dakota CL site
What a marvelous stay, Michelle and family really welcoming, the site has EHU, and a water and chemical waste disposal point. Caravan stands on grass, with 5 spaces. Really interesting site, in that it is not too far off RAF Coningsby, and is the flight path of the Battle of Britain Memorial aircraft. We were treated to a flying display from a spitfire, how often do you get to see that! Boston is 8 miles away, with main shops there, Coningsby is 3 miles and has a small Co-op. Michelle is really friendly, and on arrival your given an information book which has various leaflets inside to tell you where the various places of interest are. Basic site, really good value for money, we will be booking again.
What a superb little site, came to watch some flying & ended up with what felt like a personal display by the Battle of Britain Memorial Flight practicing their RAF 100 display also the Typhoon Display pilot rehearsing his routine. Michelle was a superb host greeting us when we arrived as well as keeping us upto date on the current flying programme. With the Internetional Bomber Command Centre, aircraft museums galore, Heckington Windmill, Lincolnshire Country Life Museum & so much more we have to come back.
Aircraft are a Bonus
We were drawn to Dakota Park having read about its proximity to RAF Coningsby and the potential to see military aircraft coming and going, including the RAF Typhoon Display Team practices (three slots made available, generally only the mid morning and afternoon slots were used). That said there were comings and goings of aircraft during the day, including the display team practices during the week. From our point of view we were delighted. If you aren't in to aircraft I don't believe they were particularly intrusive. Best of both worlds. The directions in the members' book and also given by the owner are good However do be aware the CL is off a long straight road and a night time arrival has to have a considered approach. It is signed and the owner's directions are good. If you overshoot it isn't a disaster. On arrival we received a warm welcome from the owner who gave us the choice of pitch and a comprehensive folder full of information about the local area with things to see and do. The CL is quite new (2 years old) and it shows in the sparkling facilities(fresh water, grey water / elsan, rubbish & recycling). Pitches are modest in size (we are used to farmers fields!) but plenty of space for car, 'van and awning with space between units exceeding fire advice. Each pitch has a 16amp EHU. The local area is heaving in RAF history from WW2 to the present day. RAF Consingsby hosts the Battle of Britain Memorial Flight. The visitor centre is free to enter, hanger tours at modest cost. Woodhall Spa, RAF Scampton (home of the Red Arrows), Lincolnshire Aviation Centre and many other aviation / WW2 themed destinations are all within modest driving distance. The rear of the CL overlooks open agricultural fields over which the most marvellous sunrises are to be seen, likewise in the evening some of the sunsets were stunning (Feb 2018). I marked the CL a four for peace & tranquillity due to occasional road noise and the odd aircraft movement. Also a four for beauty and scenery as we love hills and well Lincolnshire is renowned for being flat. That said the Lincolnshire Wolds are to be seen, not far from the CL either. Will we return? In a word yes. The CL is immaculate, charming owner and there is just so much history to see and visit. Gunby House and Tattersall Castle (both NT) are close by and are worth visiting. Nature reserves aren't far away either. Don't be put off by the proximity of the road or the aircraft, you don't want to miss a little gem of a CL.
We just had a weekend at Dakota Park and found the facility’s top notch. Michelle kept us informed by text as the email became hit and miss. The road is very busy, but traffic background noises not a problem for us townies. The set out is very well constructed and you can see It’s been done by someone who knows about caravans. The only comment I will say is that on approach in the dark on Friday with fast moving traffic spotting the park is a bit difficult. Even though I studied google maps to ascertain myself with local landmarks I still nearly missed it. I think Dakota are aware of this as comments were made in regards to trying to get up some form of marker. If this was done it would be a lot easier to spot. All in all a good weekend
Beautifully maintained site, with great attention to detail. You don't find many CL with a jacuzzi.!Road noise can be obtrusive, however it didn't bother us and the friendliness and the welcome more than compensated for a bit of noise. Thanks Michelle, we loved the Range as well .
Directions : From Coningsby take the A153 towards Horncastle. After about 0.5 miles turn right onto B1192 signposted Boston. Continue along B1192 and site is on the left after about 2 miles. Approximately 0.5 miles after the end of RAF Coningsby runway.
