Details : We are a family friendly site situated in a quiet part of our working farm on the outskirts of the village of Catcott. A tranquil site surrounded by countryside with panoramic views of Glastonbury Tor, the Mendip Hills and the Somerset Levels. Grass pitches with electric hook up, recycling/waste facilities and good TV reception.
There are two excellent pubs serving quality food only a short walk away. A well-stocked grocery store is located only a mile away providing local produce, a Post Office and hot food/coffee to go. The village play area can be accessed via a footpath across adjacent fields.
Local cycle routes and footpaths can be accessed directly from the site. Including routes that take you to the Shapwick Moor & Ham Wall nature reserves where a variety of wildlife can be spotted including Larks, Bitterns, Kingfishers, Swallows, Woodpeckers, Hawkes, Brown Hare, Deer and Otter. There are also nature reserves at Sharpham Moor, Catcott Complex, Catcott North, Dundon Beacon and Westhay Moor, Great Breach Wood & Gillingdown.
If you like to get out and about there are lots of things to see and do, whether you like shopping, fishing, cycling, walking, sightseeing, leisure parks, swimming or if you prefer to simply relax. Great shopping nearby with the famous Clarks Village, along with a large choice of restaurants, pubs and bars in the local area.
The mystical town of Glastonbury is nearby. They offer a tour bus which makes regular visits to Glastonbury Tor. Cheddar Caves & Gorge, Wookey Hole and Brean Leisure Park are only a short drive away. The nearest Beach is less than 15 miles away.
